about this website about the goyt valley wildlife landscapes routes thereabouts images and video assets news contact

Navigation: wildlife > lepidoptera > moths

The best way I can see to organise this is by simply listing what I have and producing a page for each. If I obtain more than adult specimens I can post them on the same page. Some adults I rarely see (Oak Eggar and Elephant Hawk for example). Other species I rarely see the Caterpillar. Many Moth species have no popular name so I have to use the latin name.

NB: Many of these were shot in the Thereabouts areas some time ago using old technology and in challenging (dark) conditions but they are still unambiguous good records of species. I will add Goyt Valley specimens as and when I stumble on them.
