Hard work for me this route at my age but it is a firm favourite. An early section is very wet and boggy when not frozen. The climb route is sandstone pebbles and not easy to walk on. I prefer to climb rather than descend, much safer. In winter snow I only climb this route. I note the drystone walls here made with rounded (wave eroded ?) stone rather that the weathered but otherwise sharp-edged sedimentary slabs generally seen. For those looking I have also snapped Lizards at the top. |
