Declaration: For the record I do not claim to have seen or heard of this species in the Goyt Valley. I only became aware of this species in my local Thereabouts area in 2020. I was working a site with an acquaintance and she spotted this one, which I had already dismissed as one of the more common blue damselflies. This one has red eyes, hence the name. Tends to be found more West of us where my acquaintance normally operates but I mention it in case somoeone wants to keep a red-eye open for them. There are reports of these in Disley: July 8
