| The Common Blue Damselfly is not as common as the name suggests. This one a male. At The Pond (Pond Number One). You will mostly but not exclusively see them on vertical reeds, actually over the water. They take off and land almost immediately, endlessly. Wish I had the energy. They fly forwards or backwards slowly with absolutely ease and will be seen in the harshest conditions when Dragonflies have run for cover sheltered in the trees (probably because of their huge wings): June 14th. |
