Lizards can show up anywhere and most people I meet who claim to have seen a Lizard (they sometimes describe as a Newt), see them scurrying across a path. Happens to me. If I was actively hunting Lizards in a particular area I would focus on the left wall above on a hot sunny day, with the wall facing the sun. The wall on the right is open to air both sides and will never see a Lizard living there. Where drystone walls have collapsed in a heap is another potential spot. Lizards are highly vulnerable to predators, especially from above.
